Someone Ran Down my Mailbox!

mailbox on post image photo picture
Oh my gosh! I came home from work today, and someone had run into my mailbox, and knocked the whole thing down! Post and all!

Now it looks like I will have to get another one, and I am going to see if the neighbor will go in with me and we can get a couple of really nice Residential Mailboxes and put them together so hopefully, it won't be so easy to knock one down.

I like this one on the left, but do you think it is a little fancy? I really like how it stands out, and it says that the post is solid and durable. (And I guess I am going to need that!)

I'm not sure if I got one of those mail boxes that you put on the house, if the mailman would actually get out of his truck and come up to my house to deliver the mail? Right now, he just sits in his truck and sticks his hand out the window.

Maybe I should do some more looking on this site and see if I can find a really strong mailbox and post? If people are going to run down your mailbox and then just drive away like nothing happened, I will need something a little more solid that what I had. I like that there are so many more options now, than there were before. You used to just get a regular mailbox and nail it to a fencepost. These look so much more sturdy and they look nice too!!

Till Next Time,
Kat

  1. Doh, that's never good. I had a neighbor when i was younger that had their mailbox hit so often in the winter that they got a new one and designed it so it would just fall apart if anything nicked it. That way they could just put it back together without any damage done to the mailbox.

Pretty interesting I thought, until I hit it myself, and not on purpose. Fortunately there was no damage done. =/

  3. That is pretty funny, sounds like a crash test dummy mailbox?? LOL

I have never seen something like that that you can put back together?

    Thank you for visiting!
