The original Tainted Love was by Soft Cell, but I like this version by the Pussy Cat Dolls, with Carmen Electra. Hope you enjoy!

My Grandson has learned how to skateboard (is that the right term, or is it ride a skateboard?), and I bought him a real cheap one to start with. We had some accidents when he started, but nothing serious, just a cut across the bridge of his nose when he tried to flip it like he'd seen done. You know, they step on the back of the skateboard real quick and it flips up into their hands miraculously? Well, his flipped all right, but hit him in the nose!! He's lucky it was only cut and not broken.
Now that he is so much better at it, not the flipping, but the riding, I am thinking about getting him a custom skateboard. He would like a design that is really cool, like a skull or a spider or a shark. He likes anything like that. I saw the one above and thought he might like that one? And Warehouse Skate Boards offers custom made skateboards, so I will have to do more research and try to get him a good one that fits him.
I will also need to get him some protective wear, like pads and stuff, and I can find all that and more right there online.
Now, if only I could make sure he wouldn't get hurt, that would be wonderful! I guess that is why they practice so much?

An elementary school class started a class project to make planters to take home to their parents.
They wanted to have a plant in it that was easy to take care of, so they decided to use cactus plants.
The students were given green-ware pottery planters in the shape of clowns which they painted with glaze.
The clown planters were professionally fired at a
class outing so they could see the process.
It was great fun!
They planted cactus seeds in the finished planters
and they grew nicely, but unfortunately, the children were not allowed to take them home.
The cactus plants were removed and small ivy
replaced them and the children were then allowed
to take them home instead.
The teacher said cactus seemed like a good idea
at the time!
!
Did it make you smile?? I had to laugh at this one.....

I feel very safe and secure while I am here on vacation because I had home security providers install a really nice and easy to use system for my house. So, while I am away, this is one less thing to worry about.
Had I known it was going to be as easy as it was, I would have done it a long time ago and saved myself many sleepless nights. Being in the house alone can make sleep non-existant and hard to come by, because every little noise and bump and your nerves are on edge.
Having a home alarm installed was the smartest thing I could do. Even if I wasn't going on vacation, it is peace of mind. But now that I am in another state, it makes me feel confident and secure that my house is fully protected while I am gone. If the alarm goes off for any reason, the police are there within 3 minutes and they call the house to make sure everything is alright. With me being here, it was easy enough to change the contact person to my daughter while I am gone. And seeing as though she hasn't called me, I have piece of mind that nothing has happened to set the alarm off.

I just learned that there is going to be more baseball today...
I'm telling you, they live and breathe it down here, and when you go to the ballparks, the turnouts are incredible!! Families of all types are there supporting the kids that are playing. There are even some people that go that don't have kids that are playing. They are "that" into it. It is like I am totally in a different zone here, and I don't mean like "twilight" or anything.... LOL
I know we like our sports up in Massachusetts, and we root for our major league teams, but this isn't that at all....this is local kids playing ball, and I found out it extends to much more than just baseball, it is a year round thing here with baseball, football and basketball!!
And most of the kids participate in all 3 sports, or if not, at least 2. And the families are into it too...like this is their life's purpose.....they plan everything around games and practices.
It just seems so funny to me, I don't plan anything around anything...LOL
But this is definitely some serious stuff!!!
I'll keep you posted....

Gold has definitely become much mre valuable than diamonds, and therefore, I am declaring that gold is now a Girl's Best Friend!
The savvy woman now will invest in gold bullion and gold coins for their future. I know we all want the sparkly diamonds and jewels, but if you go to get money for them, the only thing of value seems to be the gold in the band? So why are we all about getting the jewels, when the jewels aren't going to help us in the future?
I say we should all buy gold and bullion for ourselves and our future. If all us ladies buy gold bullion for ourselves and store it, we won't have to depend on a man for our future, nor will we have the huge fluctuations of the stock market. Gold is a solid investment.

I made it to Ohio!!
I am down in the lower right of the state, close to Marietta.
And we did go to Chillicothe yesterday.
They are really big on sports down here, so we have been at ball games all weekend. Not so much time for blogging....LOL
Just wanted you to know that I am here and safe...

Are you in need of some serious credit repair? If you are looking to buy a house or a car, or even to get a credit card with an interest rate that isn't through the roof, then you need to start working to correct your credit report. Most of ours have inaccurate information on them, and that can be the deciding factor on whether you get that house or not!
You can repair bad credit in a few easy steps with the help of a good credit repair services company. They will work with you to remove any errors, and even get some of the old items off your credit report. This can be substantial in helping not only to establish a good credit rating for yourself again, but in showing the banks and lending companies that you are trustworthy to make payments when you are seeking a loan of any sort. Banks will not lend to someone who has bad credit, because they see them as a credit risk, and auto dealers will make you pay huge amounts upfront and the remainder of the loan will have an interest rate that is outrageous!
We all need to make sure that our credit report is accurate and up to date, and if there are any errors that need to be removed, we need to work on getting those removed promptly!
Take care and good luck!
Kat
I wanted to let everyone know that I am going on vacation tomorrow and will return on the 12th of July.I plan to have a super time, and really need this vacation.
I went into detail about it on my other blog, Candles Crafts and Whatnot, so I won't repeat the whole thing here again.
For all my readers and my loyal entrecard droppers, I thank you in advance for sticking with me....and I appreciate it!! I will be back soon, and will try to update my blog, even if it is only a little bit while I am gone.
Take care of yourselves....
